About Sheffield Organic Growers

Sheffield Organic Growers is a cluster of independent organic growers, based on a 12-acre site in the beautiful Moss Valley on the edge of Sheffield.

Sheffield Organic Growers sells a range of produce, including vegetables, fruit and herbs, through local shops including Sharrow Marrow, Zeds, and Knab Fruit and Flowers.

We are also the home of:

A local community project which runs a veg box scheme and provides opportunities for volunteering and learning food growing skills.

  • Moss Valley Market Garden
A biodynamic growing project led by Martin Bradshaw, supplying veg bags to local customers.

Beanies is a busy wholefoods shop and greengrocers in Walkley. A workers co-operative, Beanies has been selling wholesome, fresh produce since 1986. One of the members, Matt West, is now growing a range of vegetables, salads and herbs for the shop and veg box scheme.

  • Hazelhurst Fruitery
This is a newly-planted 3-acre orchard, including a wide range of apples, pears, plums and soft fruit. As the orchard develops we will be selling the fruit through local outlets and at farmers' markets.
